How to delete your Built by Days account
Before you delete
Deletion is permanent and can’t be undone. If you want to keep what you built, first download a copy in You → Export data (JSON or CSV).
In the app
- Open Built by Days and sign in.
- Go to You → Account → Delete account.
- Confirm it’s you (you sign in again if more than a few minutes have passed).
- Type DELETE and tap “Delete permanently”.
Without the app
Sign in on the web, in a browser, and follow the same steps: You → Account → Delete account. You don’t need to install the app.
If you can no longer access your account, write to [email protected] with the subject “Delete my Built by Days account”, ideally from the account’s address. Don’t send passwords, card details or ID documents; we may send a verification message to the account’s address.
What gets deleted
Everything tied to the account: the email or Apple / Google identifier, language, time zone and preferences; goals, habits, check-ins, notes, pauses, pieces, buildings, the city, level and XP; Coach conversations and memory; public links (they stop working); devices and consents.
Deletion in the app is immediate. Your other devices are signed out, and their local data and widget copy are removed the next time they open. Requests sent by email are completed within 30 days and confirmed to the account’s address.
What we keep, briefly
Backups expire within 30 days and are never restored to production except to recover the whole system after an incident.
At our providers: we delete you from sign-in (Supabase) and from subscription records (RevenueCat). Error reports (Sentry, pseudonymous) expire there within 90 days, and the logs of sign-in code emails (Postmark) within 45 days. Apple and Google keep purchase history under their own rules.
We keep a pseudonymous record that the deletion happened and, only as long as needed, information for security, legal obligations or defending a right. We don’t use it for anything else.
Cancel your subscription separately
Deleting the account or uninstalling the app doesn’t stop the payment and doesn’t trigger a refund.
Apple: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Built by Days → Cancel Subscription.
Google Play: Google Play → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Built by Days → Cancel subscription.
